Our lives are a collection of milestones and memories, solitary experiences that become more distinct and distilled with time. We mentally store these parceled events of who we are. They are what remains of us, these seemingly unrelated life transactions.
But in reconnecting these time-separated remembrances, something marvelous happens. The fragments of our lives create a peculiar and beautiful tapestry of memory threads that have individual and shared meaning. The Recollection Series (acrylic paintings on canvas) expresses this "re-collecting" and remembering of the wholeness of our lives across many different experiences.
